A few words from the owner....
Hi, my name is Julie Maddaford and I absolutely adore dogs! This beautiful lady to the left, is my very own furbaby Lily, who, like everyone's doggies, brings great joy and happiness to our lives. She is truly, a very important member of our family.
Having worked for over 18 years in an office, I knew that my love for dogs meant that it was time to do something I was passionate about.
In February 2018, having completed my training course at Canine Design Dog Grooming Academy and passed my examinations, I set up Maddaford's Dog Grooming at my home, working evenings and weekends. Then in September 2019, I left the office to pursue my dream of working with dogs full time in a newly built self-contained salon at my property.
My Salon is a very clean, safe environment for your dog to visit. I groom on a one to one basis therefore no other clients' dogs are in the salon at the same time as yours. This was really important to me when setting up my business, because my Spaniel was always nervous when visiting the Groomers and I found it difficult leaving her with other dogs.
A quiet Salon is very important, particularly for senior dogs or nervous dogs as they can be very anxious. I like dogs to feel safe whilst in my care and always strive to take their concerns about grooming seriously.

I adhere to the 5 Needs of Animal Welfare Act with everything I do and your dog's safety and comfort is absolutely paramount whilst in my care.
I treat every client's dog as I would hope someone would treat mine...with the utmost care and respect at all times.
My bath and table are both electric and lower to the floor, enabling older dogs to walk in to the bath or onto the table comfortably. This is essential when handling senior dogs, or dogs with joint pain or arthritis for instance.
